Bill Miller and I recently had the opportunity to chat with Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute about wearable technology used to track health and some of the great (and not-so-great) things it can do. So many of us use wearables (full disclosure – I am a happy Apple Watch wearer), but don’t always think about the implications. There are questions about the benefit and use of all of the data that’s generated (do you really know enough to understand that heart rhythm data?) and what their use means in terms of personal privacy. In this article, we chat about some of the things you should know, and questions you should ask. Curious to learn more? Check out the article they created based on our interview here!
